I’m Sylvie Sonneman, a counselor trainee working toward licensure in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My passion lies in helping people navigate life’s challenges, explore their inner worlds, and move toward healing and personal growth. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, struggling with substance use, or just feeling stuck, I’m here to support you in a way that’s collaborative, affirming, and tailored to your unique needs.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered and nonjudgmental. I focus on creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel truly seen and heard. I have experience working with a wide range of individuals, including children, and I enjoy helping younger clients develop emotional regulation and confidence through creative, age-appropriate strategies. My clinical interests include substance use disorders, but I welcome working with people from all walks of life who are ready to take the next step toward healing.
With a background in psychology and hands-on experience supporting both individuals and families, I bring empathy, structure, and a deep respect for each person’s journey. Whether you prefer in-person sessions at our Strongsville office or virtual appointments, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. If you’re ready to begin your path to a more grounded, connected version of yourself, I’m here to help you get started.
Note: Sylvie Sonneman is a dedicated master’s-level student currently receiving supervision from Stephanie Kemme to provide you with the highest quality care. This collaborative approach ensures that your counseling experience is supported by a team committed to your growth and well-being. Stephanie will be actively involved in overseeing clinical aspects of your care, including attending some sessions and reviewing diagnostic and treatment plans to ensure they are tailored to your needs. If you have any questions about this process, Sylvie or Stephanie would be happy to discuss them with you. Together, they are here to support your journey.
