More About Sondra Nader

Hi there! My names Sondra and I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at John Carroll University, currently on the path to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a dual license in substance use disorders. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding human behavior, mental health, and psychological research.

Counseling, for me, is all about connection. I choose to show up with empathy and curiosity, bringing with me a spirit full of warmth, kindness, and a genuine appreciation for the little joys in life. I truly believe that healing happens when people feel deeply seen, heard, and accepted, and it’s my mission to create a space where that kind of safety and self-discovery can thrive. I’ve come to understand how identity, environment, and lived experience can deeply shape our mental well-being. I believe it’s most important to approach each person’s story with openness, humility, and heart as no two people experience the world the same way. That, to me, is what makes this so meaningful. While healing can be challenging, I believe it can also be a hopeful, empowering, and even uplifting journey. One that holds space for growth, connection, and of course some light and fun moments along the way!
