Hi, I’m Damesha Atkins, LSW. I work with children, teens, adults, and families who are dealing with life changes, stress, and emotional overwhelm. My background includes child welfare, early childhood education, school-based support, and work with older adults, so I’ve seen how challenges can manifest differently at every stage of life.
No matter our differences or life experiences, my goal is always the same: to show up for you and support you in a way that’s respectful and genuine. I focus on creating a calm, grounded space where you can feel safe enough to talk openly and be yourself without feeling judged or rushed.
I’m proud of people for even considering therapy, because taking that first step isn’t easy. Whether we’re working through school stress, family changes, anxiety, grief, or just feeling stuck, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you build tools that fit your life.
My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, and I often use CBT techniques to support emotional regulation, communication, and coping skills. I try to keep therapy practical and real so you leave sessions feeling more grounded, supported, and confident in handling whatever comes up next.
