Hi! I’m Alyssa Hicks! I am a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Social Worker with over 13 years of experience in the field, including private practice and schools. I graduated from Baldwin-Wallace University with my undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2009 and my Master’s degree in Social Science administration from Case Western Reserve in 2011.
I have experience working with adolescents, adults, and families experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger, life transitions, school-related problems, and many more. I am deeply committed to instilling advocacy and empowerment into any I meet and helping individuals build resilience and navigate life’s challenges. I ensure that everyone receives personalized care tailored to their own unique needs. My approach is holistic and strength-based, using techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions.
I aim to create a safe space to explore their thoughts and feelings, fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect. I look forward to meeting you in person or online as we start our journey to help you achieve your goals.
